ifilm English to bid farewell to popular series ‘The Redemption’

ifilm English channel has set to air the final episode of the series ‘The Redemption’ on Sunday.

The series finale, produced by Mohammad-Reza Shafiei and directed by Sirous Moqaddam, will be aired on January 7, 2018, at 18 GMT.

‘The Redemption’ tells the story of hatred, revenge, betrayal and greed. Parviz Shayeste is a man who has lost plenty of money, but puts the blame on his employee, Ahmad-Reza.

Ahmad-Reza is now missing and when his wife, Khojasteh comes to Tehran looking for him, she refuses to believe that her beloved husband could be capable of doing so.

She meticulously follows up on every single lead to prove that her husband is innocent. As the story unfolds, Khojasteh finds herself in the middle of a vicious game which now threatens her own life and those close to her.

Notable among the cast are Abbas Amiri-Moqaddam, Anahita Afshar, Atila Pesyani, Ronak Younesi, Shahram Abdoli, Pouriya Poursorkh, Linda Kiani, Arash Majidi, Nafiseh Roshan, Mohammad Omrani, Abbas Ghazali, Saba Kamali, Zohreh Safavi, Heshmat Aramideh, Kaveh Khoda-Shenas, Afshin Sangchap, and Maryam Soltani.

‘The Redemption’, produced in 2008, will be replaced by the series ‘Edge of Darkness’ directed by Saeed Soltani in 2005.
